New York Fashion Week starts today, during which famous designers will present men's and women's collections for the spring-summer 2021 season. Even though the event will be held offline, the coronavirus pandemic is forcing us to adhere to some restrictions. In this regard, the fashion week will be held in a shortened format - 4 days instead of the usual 6. The event will be held from 13 to 16 September.
The number of participants was also decreased. Most fashion houses have decided to create their own show schedule for presenting their collections in the online format. So, this year Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs, Gabriela Hearst, Oscar de la Renta, Proenza Schouler, Tory Burch, and Prabal Gurung will not take part in New York Fashion Week.
But we are waiting for Adeam, Alice + Olivia, Anna Sui, Badgley Mischka, Carolina Herrera, Chromat, Christian Cowan, Christian Siriano, Jason Wu, Marchesa, Tom Ford, and many other brands' shows. Also, there will be such newcomers as Anne Klein, Colleen Allen, Duncan, Frère, and Oak & Acorn.
Most of the designers will showcase the new collections in hybrid formats that include live streaming and digital lookbooks and will broadcast their shows on the Runway360 platform.
