Last Saturday, October 24, Adele hosted an American late-night comedy and music show, Saturday Night Live, that marked the British singer's first television appearance after a long lull.

Adele also acted as an actress, playing in several sketches - from a clairvoyant predicting terrible events in 2020 to a parody of the show "The Bachelor" where the singer appeared in the form of herself, performing her eternal hits "Someone Like You," "When We Were Young," "Hello" and "Rolling in the Deep."

However, many of Adele's fans were expecting the singer to perform as a musical guest on the show as well as talk about the release of the new album. Their hopes did not come true - the singer only hinted that she was still working on recording the album. She also made a joke about her first experience as a TV-host, explaining the reason why she actually was doing it. "I know there's a lot chat about me being the host," she started. "There's a couple of reasons. My album is not finished and I'm also too scared to do both. I would rather just put on some wigs - and this is all mine by the way - have a glass of wine or six and just see what happens. "

Continuing her welcoming monologue, Adele did not bypass the topic of her sensational weight loss (the singer lost 45 kg.). "I know I look really, really different since you last saw me but actually, because of all the COVID restrictions and the travel bans, I had to travel light and only bring half of me - and this is the half I chose," she joked.
