Welcome to the world, Daisy Dove Bloom! Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom became parents

No doubt, 2020 can be marked as the year of the celebrity baby boom. While singer Niki Minaj and supermodel Gigi Hadid are still expecting their firstborns, another pop-star Katy Perry gave birth to her baby girl on Thursday, August 27th.

She and her husband actor Orlando Bloom named their newborn Daisy Dove Bloom, creating a beautiful association with a blossoming flower. "We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter," the newly-minted parents shared their joy. Nevertheless, the celebrity couple also didn't miss an opportunity to use their happy occasion for the good cause. Together with UNICEF and as its Goodwill Global Ambassadors, Perry and Bloom addressed public attention to the issue of birth safety, especially during the ongoing COVID-19 times.  As one of the possible solutions, they set up a donation page "to make sure every expecting mother has access to a trained health worker and access to quality healthcare."
