Last Sunday, Los Angeles hosted the 2020 American Music Awards, celebrating the brightest achievements of artists in the world of contemporary music. Fortunately, the coronavirus pandemic did not interfere with the traditional attributes of the event - the star guests still walked the red carpet and showed off their stunning outfits. Speaking of which, all this action resembled a brightly sparkling diamond in a red velvet box. Many celebrities, including Dua Lipa, Paris Hilton, Cara Delevingne, and some others, chose the outfits in silver shadows or gowns studded with crystals. Well, they looked literally blinding!
Nevertheless, there were some innovations: due to the coronavirus pandemic, some of the musical numbers and appeals were recorded in advance, and only a part of the celebrity guests was allowed into the Microsoft theater hall. The host of the award was actress Taraji Henson - it was she who announced most of this year's triumphs. The leaders in the number of awards were Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, and Dan + Shay, who collected three awards each. Notably, Taylor Swift not only became the Artist of the Year but broke the record for an AMA award, collecting 32 awards throughout her career.
One of the brightest and most memorable numbers of the American Music Awards was the performance of Jennifer Lopez and Maluma: they sang two new joint songs, Pa 'Ti and Lonely, at once. But despite the fabulous performance, some viewers were unhappy. One of Beyoncé's fans accused J.Lo of plagiarism: according to him, the singer copied the image of "Queen B," in which she appeared at the 2014 Grammy Awards. It is about a similar black bodysuit and a wet hairstyle look. Anyway, Lopez's outfit and her dance with elements of strip plastic did not leave anyone indifferent!
