Suzy Menkes is leaving Vogue International
The series of reductions and resignations of some fashion industry representatives caused by the global pandemic and racial allegation has already created a stir in the world, but this time the trouble came out of nowhere. After six years at Vogue International, one of the most famous fashion critics and journalists is leaving her post. The official resignation will occur in October, when Menkes makes the last reviews of fashion shows.
The journalist announced the departure in her ******* account by writing a touching farewell address. Menkes did not disclose the reasons for her sudden decision, however, she assured her followers and fans that she was not going to end her career as a writer and journalist, and perhaps even release her book.
"The current global situation has given me - and all of us - pause for reflection. And so it is time for a new adventure, which I look forward to with excitement. I will continue to write, post, record, and bring together the industry - watch this space (and SuzyMenkes.com) for the next stage of my career! And there may be a book or two with my 30 years of photos and diaries...", she wrote.
In April of this year, Menkes launched her "Creative Conversations with Suzy Menkes" podcast, which hosts renowned designers and fashion insiders. The journalist has already met with Maria Grazia Chiuri, Olivier Rousteing, Natalia Vodianova, Michael Kors, and many others.
